If you’d like the source file for it, and you have a Mac with iWork, drop me a line, and I’ll shoot you over the Pages file the PDF is based on. I added text boxes to it, so that you could type in your character’s info. I don’t expect this page changes much throughout your character’s career… well, at least not *every* week.

David ran our game, and Stephen brought his son. With myself and my son in the game, we had 4 player characters, so David decided to throw an NPC in with us, just to help balance. Most 4e dungeons / encounters are setup for 5 players. Our fifth player had some trouble at the last minute, and couldn’t make it.

We started the sample adventure that’s included with the DMG, Fallcrest. We explored the town a bit, and then headed off to where the kobolds were supposed to be.

I really like the game play, so far.

He had already made one, so he kinda knew the drill, but it was my first one.

We also helped my son, Austin, make one, too.

I created a male Eladrin Wizard named Valaar. Austin made a male Dragonborn Warlord. David made a female Halfling Cleric.

I really like the mechanic so far, it seems to streamline many things, while leaving the general “feel” of the game intact.

I’ve played DnD since middle school, before AD&D 2nd Edition was released, and it’s nice to see the progression.

Of course, it’s been years since I stopped playing, at this point. We’re trying to get a game together for Friday (or maybe every other Friday) nights.

Anyone in?

Stephen and I played all day today, I made level 62 (and three quarters) — so I almost made a complete level today, in about 9 hours. That was awesome.

Stephen’s already level 65, so he didn’t get as much XP, but he did gain some serious rep for a quest that has a nice shield as a reward.

Well, if I keep this up, power-playing like this, I’ll be 65 pretty quick.

My family is great… my wife made sure to stay out of my hair all day, so I could play. I hadn’t played in almost a month!
