    Work, Rocketry, Range

    By Derek | January 5, 2020

    A great Sunday. (5th)

Got up late today, after going to bed early last night because I wasn’t feeling well.

Yesterday, I worked remotely from the rocket field. Jill and our younger son went to help with setup and management of the rocket event. Basically, I stayed in the car and worked from my laptop attached to my hotspot.

I did take a break to eat lunch with our rocket group and then we came back home. I continued working, but started to not feel good, so I ended up going to bed a bit after 6pm. I got up around 10pm, I was feeling a little better, so I watched a movie with Jill.

Today we slept in, and when we got up, we kind of just lazed around the house a bit.

After a while, Jill and I decided to go to the range.  As it was a Sunday, we went to Dietz in New Braunfels.

We took our friend that’s staying with us, and his girlfriend. She hadn’t shot before, so she needed some instruction. Our friend was able to get her up to speed on the pistol range. Jill shot really well, with both her 9mm and her Makarov.

Once we were done with the pistol range, we moved over to the rifle range. Our friend helped me sight in my AR, as it still needed some work. It’s only the third or fourth time I’ve shot it.

Here’s a shot of our younger son shooting his 22 single shot rifle.

We had a good time, and came back into town and had dinner together.

Once we got home, I had a customer’s system to work on, so I did some remote work, while Jill watched a movie and our younger son played some Minecraft On his PC.
