Neighbors New Stereo

I went to hook up my neighbor’s new Onkyo receiver tonight. I spent about three hours working on it.
I had to pull out the old receiver, and all of it’s wires, and install the new one, and then set it up. It was my first setup using HDMI connectors, and I can’t say it was a good experience.

Back From Traveling

Back from out of town. This should be my last major trip of the summer.
I went to Beaumont again, and worked for Hardin-Jefferson ISD and East Chambers ISD while I was out there.

SeeqPod

Man, I just gotta try this out then next time someone asks me if I have “such-and-such” song on my iPhone. Previously, I use a 30gb iPod, and every once in a while, I notice that 8gb really isn’t all that much music.
I mean, it’s alot, but nowhere near 30gb. Plus, I keep more video podcasts on the iPhone than I ever stored on my iPod… thanks, big bright touchscreen!

iPhone, Headset

I hear through the grapevine that my friend Gerrit, who bought an iPhone just a day or so after I did, has already had to replace it twice. I need to call him tomorrow or the next day to see what’s up with that!
Also, my headset, a Motorola H500, seems to be a lot more sensitive than my old HS850. I’ve had several customers and friends complain that they are having a hard time hearing me over the road noise while I’m driving. Weird.

Back from out of town again & Apple Phone Show

I’m back from out of town again.
I went to Winnie, TX again, so that I could work for a customer near Beaumont.
I discovered a great new podcast about the Apple iPhone. It’s called the Apple Phone Show, and it’s got some great information, tips, tricks, etc. about the iPhone.
