A good Sunday. (27th)
Stayed up late last night, got up late today. Exercised after noon.
Went out driving a bit, ended up stopping at Sam’s Burger Joint downtown. They have great food, but we were there too early for any live music. We got to see some cool bikes, though, they were pulling out as we pulled in, including a couple Spyders, with two wheels in the front. I think technically, those aren’t motorcycles, but they still look very cool.
Got home just in time for our niece’s family to show up, back from out of town.
Got some good playtime on Nine Parchments on the Switch with the kids (ours is 11, theirs are a bit younger) before their bedtime.

Work, TV, Food

A good Saturday. (26th)
Regular work day for me.
Finished Agents of Shield, season 4. They really cranked up the heat with the Aida character.
Had some chicken wings that Jill brought home from Smokin Joes last night for lunch. I confess, I normally prefer chicken strips, but these were really good. There’s something primal about eating chicken wings (or chicken in general) that you don’t get from strips. It reminds you that you’re a meat-atarian.
Earlier in the day Jill and my younger son went downtown with some friends to check out the Día de Muertos celebration. After I got off work, we tried going back down there, but it was crazy, and parking was awful, so we just left. One of the pitfalls of working until 7p on a Saturday.
After we came back from downtown, we decided to take our younger son to Arctic Ape. It’s a local dessert place that’s excellent. He had previously been participating in the Book It program, that lets you earn Pizza Hut pizza for reading books. Now that he’s aged out of that program, Jill and I decided to “continue” it with local places. He picked Arctic Ape.
Jill and I started Marvel’s Iron Fist. It’s pretty good so far. Watched too many episodes before bed, good thing I don’t have to work tomorrow.

A good Friday. (25th)
Physical therapy first thing this morning.
Regular work day for me.
Got more RackerGamer game day t-shirts ordered today. Our vendor walked me through where the price breaks are for the t-shirts, so that I could order the correct quantity we needed at the lowest cost.
Worked a bit on my movie collection tonight. Got a new movie in and wanted to get it processed and converted to add it before bed.

A good Thursday. (24th)
Regular workday for me.
Ran the RackerGamers t-shirt table for lunch today.
Got some work done on my secondary project today.
After work, had some errands to run, ended up getting caught at HEB during a huge rainstorm. Got really wet getting back out to the car. Got it done, though.
Once we got home, we noticed a few minutes later that part of IH-35 was shut down, the part that we had just driven past. It was closed because it had 3 feet of water on it.

Dr, Work, RackerGamers

Had a follow up with my surgeon this morning. They did an Xray and he said that everything looks healing normally, and that my cut should be healed enough that I can swim now, if I wanted to. Of course, that season has passed.
Regular work day for me. Working my primary project the first half of the day, then supposed to work my secondary project the second half, but today our group had a potluck to celebrate Octoberfest. There was some good stuff there.
Got home and setup for RackerGamers meeting. We are close to Game Day, so we have one this week, and one next week for final preparations.
Exercised late tonight. Exhausted.

Haircut, BBQ, Robotics, RockBand

A good Tuesday. (22nd)
Got up early to go get a haircut. Took little man with me. He looks sharp, now.
Tuesday lunch at our favorite spot. Yum. Saw a silver-haired woman wearing a Soundgarden shirt. I am old.
Robotics (x2).
Ran around trying to find a pecan pie for tomorrows’ work potluck. Apparently, it’s too early in the season for pecan pie. Ended up with a nice Apple Crumble instead.
Got home and played a bunch of Rockband 4. I had bought RB4 on the XBox One when it came out, but hadn’t really played it, due to the restrictions with bringing my music over from previous RB games. RB2 imported RB1 stuff, and RB3 imported all of that… but RB4 isn’t so generous. Ended up playing a bunch anyway, due to the fact that it does come with some songs that I don’t have on RB3.

Library, PT, Library, Work

A good Monday, but long. (21st)
Got up early (for a Monday) today, to go drop off stuff at the library, and pick up my on-holds. Well. Got there too early, apparently, on Monday my local library doesn’t open until noon. Wednesday, too. They do stay open late (8pm) on those days, so that’s cool, but I didn’t know. Dropped my media in the book return, so I wouldn’t have to cart it around with me.
Drove to physical therapy, hoping they could get me in early, since I was so early. They let me in only ½ hour early. Hard work today, too.
Came back from PT, had to swing by the library to pick up my stuff.
Got home to take a shower, and then go see a customer out in Seguin. They got one of their employees a new computer, and needed it installed.
Took the family out to dinner after work. Went to Fazoli’s. I am glad they came back to San Antonio, after being gone for a while.
Got home late, almost 10pm, basically going to get ready for bed at this point. I need to get up tomorrow, and get a haircut before our Tuesday madness starts.

Funday

A good Sunday. (20th)
Slept in. So nice.
Ate breakfast, then the family and I left the house to play Pokémon Go with some friends. We had EX Raid Passes to a raid, so we did it, and then did a few more.
Once we were done with that it was lunchtime. We went to Malik’s Rose Bush for the great philly sandwiches.
Back at the house, I played some games. First, a couple of rounds of Apex, then a bit of Star Citizen.
I tried to get Steam Link working on my AppleTV but I need a Bluetooth controller for it that has Back & Start buttons — I have a BT controller designed for the AppleTV, but it only has a Menu button on it, so even though it works perfectly for AppleTV games, it won’t work for Steam Link. Turns out the newer XBox One controllers will work, but I don’t own any of those.
Got my exercise done, then decided to play some Baldurs Gate: Enhanced Edition. Did a couple of quests then time for bed.

Early AM, Work, Movies

Saturday. (19th)
Got woke up around 4am. Younger son wasn’t feeling well, but also, one of our dogs pooped on the carpet. They were both at the vet yesterday, for their annual checkups, and I think Athena still isn’t feeling well. They both came home kind of groggy from the anesthesia. Went back to bed.
Regular work day for me. No morning exercise as I got up late from being woken up in the middle of the night. I’ll have to exercise after work tonight.
Working on my primary project, prepping host servers for firmware upgrades.
Watched a couple of movies with Jill before bed.
