Sunday, July 3rd, 2011This is a Mac-specific tip, if you don’t have a Mac, it might just be an interesting read for you. For the software that’s not available yet through the Mac App Store, use AppFresh. I have been using AppFresh for over a year, so I don’t worry that it’s still a Development Preview. AT&T, Tethering, Data and my other devices
Wednesday, March 9th, 2011So, today I bit the bullet and gave up my iPhone 5GB “unlimited” data plan with AT&T. Previously, I was grandfathered into the “unlimited” plan, from the early days of the original iPhone. I looked back at my data usage since I upgraded to my iPhone 4, and only once have I gone over 1GB. [...]
Dear Steve Jobs, The 3G Launch Sucked
Friday, July 11th, 2008Dear Steve Jobs, Next time you have the chance, kick someone over at AT&T for me. Thanks. Then kick yourself for allowing AT&T to dictate how you sell product. Thanks. Wow… purchasing an iPhone 3G was so not the experience I expected from Apple.
Apple Store Opening, Northstar
Thursday, July 10th, 2008Thanks, Stephen! Stephen twittered today about the Northstar opening… reminding me that I took a few pictures of the event, and promptly forgot to post them! Check them here.
iPhone + TL
Sunday, February 24th, 2008So, I’ve been using my iPhone with my TL for some time now, and doing some research on the best way to integrate the audio into my factory stereo system. Thoughts On AppleCare
Thursday, November 15th, 2007My brother in CO asked me what my thoughts were on Apple’s extended warranty, or AppleCare product.
Leopard Dock Glowie Power
Thursday, November 1st, 2007You’ve probably seen by now (if you’re a Mac Fanboi, that is) the SilverMac tutorial on how to change your Leopard Dock “glowies” back to Tiger’s triangles. If you haven’t, you ought to read it first, before you finish reading this post.
Apple Doesn’t Have A High Opinion Of Windows
Wednesday, October 31st, 2007OK, so I was zipping around Leopard this evening, and I noticed that Apple doesn’t really have a high opinion of Microsoft’s Windows. I mean, who can blame them, it took Microsoft 20 years (1985-2005) to finally make a stable version of Windows, and now they’ve gone and replaced it with “ME Version 2″ otherwise [...]
Leopard, CCC Large Disk Image = Bad
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007I installed Leopard on my PowerBook 15″ tonight. I purchased the Family Pack (5 copies for $199) at the La Cantera Apple Store on Friday, the 26th. The install went perfectly. I did a complete backup before and then did a complete format and install of the new OS. I was running 10.4.10 before.
